EMMA WATSON

The magic continues
The actress spent years filming the eight Harry Potter films. Now she has turned the page...

Goodbye Hermione
After the Harry Potter flms made her the world's most famus witch, Emma Watson wanted t o show she had other talents.
Her next big role, as a cool kid in The Perks of Begin a Wallflower (2012), was very different from the studious Hermione. The seven weeks Emma spent filming were the opportunity for her to be a normal teenager for the first time. ''We'd just stay up all night playing guitar and running around the hotel'', she says.

Intelligent star
Emma is not just beautiful... she has brains too! She has studied at Brown University, USA, and Oxford University, England, and loves to read and write poetry. She took a break from her studies to concentrate on her films, which is good news for her fans.

A private person
Emma loves making films but she does not like celebrity life. She is attached to her privacy, which is ironic because in the film The Bling Ring (2013) , she plays a teenager whos is absessed with celebrities and breaks into their houses. It was a challenge for Emma to play a materialistic ç, narcissistic character so different to her!

PEOPLE

JENNIFER LAWRENCE

Hunger games star Jennifer Lawrence is everywhere this month. I love English has some ideas on how to succeed like Jennifer...

Most actresses, if offered a role in The Hunger Games, would say ''Yes!'' without hesitation. Not Jennifer Lawrence. She was worried that begin famous would change her. She thought about the offer for three days, before accepting. Like Katniss in the films, Jennifer became a superstar overnight. But happily, she hasn't changed at all!

To preparate for her role in The Hunger Games, Jennifer worked very hard. She trained in archery four times a week, learnt tree and rock climbing, and had fitness and combat coaching. ''If I look exhausted in the movie, that's definitely real,'' she says smiling.

Jennifer likes to surprise her fans. She plays very diferent roles from one film to the next. She experiments with new styles. Her hair colour changes from blonde to brown, and she can wear everything from elegant dresses to jeans and simple t-shirts.

Jennifer admits that she's not perfect. She's naturally clumsy, and fell on the steps when she collected her first Oscar in front of Hollywood's mos impornant stars. But she reacted to his embarrassing situation with humour. ''You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell'', she said when the audience stood up in her honour.

Most acrtesses don't dream of carrying a shotgun. but Jennifer is fearless: that's exactly what she did in the film Winter's Bone. Millions of fans identified with her challenging, teenage role. It was also preparation for playing Katniss.

MUSIC

BIRDY

English singer Birdy had her first hit with the album Birdy when she was 14 years old. Now, aged 17, she's back with a new single, ''Wings'', and an album, Fire Withim. Birdy is not a typical popstar: she studied classical piano when she was a child, and today her musical style is captivating and mature. Her fragile voice is a refreshing change.

JESSIE J

Like Birdy, single Jessie J is English and became an international star with her first album. But that's where the comparsion ends! Jessie J studied music at the famous school in London for the performing arts, the Brit school. She mixes soul vocals with R&B, electropop and hip-hop. Her new album for catchy pop music, Alive, is sure to be another hit.

SUPERNATURAL VISIONS

Nottingham

Police in Nottinghamshire have received 100 calls reporting ghosts, montsers, werewolves, zombies and witches over the past three years.
The Nottingham Post, which reported the recently-released statistics, said that not one of the sightings was confirmed. However, nobody was charged with wasting police time either...

WE'RE THE MILLERS

Jennifer Aniston stars in this enjoyable road movie.

David Bruke is a small time dope dealer who ends up in debt to his supplier when a gang steals all his drug money. The supplier offers him a solution - he will forget the debt if David goes to Mexico and brings back a cargo of marijuana for him.

Knowing that he will attract attention as a single man crossing the border back into the USA, David has a brillant idea: he needs a family. He convicies his neighbour, a stripper called Rose (Jennifer Aniston), to pose as his wife. A homeless girl and an abandoned teenager come for the ride as their partend daughter and son.
All they have to do now is rent a camping-car, act like a real family... and avoid the Mexican gansters who chase them back into America.
The ''Millers'' are quite the opposite of the ideal American family, bot they play their parts so well that they start to become one. This could easily turn saccharine, but Sudeikis David is so egoistical there is on danger of the comedy being sabotaged by an excess of Hollywood sentimentality.

RUSH

Ron Howard's action biopic tells of the intense rivalry between two legendary Formula One drivers.

Back in the 1970's, Formula One was still crazy sport - of the 25 drivers who began the championship each year, an avarage of two died in crashes. So, although it wasn't exactly The Hunger Games, there was an air of the gladiator contest about it. And the greatest battle of those days was between a talented, but cold and arrogant Austrian, Niki Lauda, and a charming English playboy called James Hunt. Lauda was a total professional, his every move calculated in advance. Hunt was impulsive, unpredictable, and probably the last of the gentlemen amateurs in the sport.
Rush tells the story of their rivarly from the beginning of the incredible 1976 championship, right up to the climax, which was decided on the last lap of the last race of the season.
Chris Hemsworth is perfect as James Hurt, irresistibly sexy and funny. But the real heart of the story Niki Lauda's amazing return to his Ferrari just weeks after he almost died in the crash that left him horribly disfigured.
